11/01/2025 in reply to: Online flirting vs in-person flirting: signal quality, conversion rates, and awkward silences #1478
straightshooternigelParticipantHere’s my two pence: online is volume, in-person is quality control. Stop sending riddles masquerading as banter and ask for tea on Saturday, 3pm, somewhere with chairs. If she says no, fab, you learned something. If she says yes, even better. “Online flirting vs in-person flirting” is a false war; it’s logistics plus manners.

straightshooternigelParticipantQuick add-on to the stats gang: track “who proposes the time.” My success rate doubled when I stopped saying “sometime next week” and started offering an exact slot. If they counter with a clear alternative, great. If not, that’s your answer. Medium aside, decisiveness is the secret seasoning.

straightshooternigelParticipantsolid. lot of you saying the same thing: tests = left, specificity = right. love the “bounded choice” idea. for those saying emojis, what’s the cap before it turns daft? i’m at two max. also anyone getting better results with a weird opener? i’ll nick it and report back, promise.

straightshooternigelParticipantDon’t overthink “respectful.” Be respectful. That means punctual, tidy, specific. No “we should hang sometime”—say Thursday 19:00, coffee at X. Two confirmations max; after that, silence. If you’re angling to date brazilian women, drop the nomad flex and stop talking about “content.” You’re not a brand in this context. Also, wallet out, but don’t arm-wrestle the bill if she insists.

straightshooternigelParticipantStop with hi/hey. Ask about one specific detail, always, please.
