budgetBackpackerParticipant@NordicNurse I once met a girl from Vietnam on NaomiDate… Oooh, this romance was amazing, I was looking forward to our chat because of the time difference. We had our reasons for breaking up, but at first I enjoyed the online relationship no less than the classic one

budgetBackpackerParticipanthot take + itinerary: date a person, not a trope. if you’re long-distance, plan meets around cheap flights and paperwork appointments, not just beaches. bring scanned docs on a USB, pack patience, don’t be a clown at border control. pros and cons? mostly you vs your admin skills tbh. send recs!

budgetBackpackerParticipantI’ve dated across cultures while hopping countries on cheap flights. The mistake I made early was turning dates into anthropology fieldwork. Now I lead with logistics, play, and one opt-out question. “Happy to keep it light or nerdy—your call.” If she says light, we keep it light. If she nerds out on food history, I’m there for it.
